i cant hear my friends on yahoo, but they can hear me clearly, what do i do?

I have been having this problem for soo long, i cant hear my friends on yahoo and my family lives in pakistan so my mom likes to talk to them throguh yahoo, they can hear us perfectly but we cant hear them and we are having the same problem on skype :( can anyone plz help
since its eid we really want to talk to our family

you need to check the audio settings in skype. here is a link which can help you. If the other side can hear you, don't change the mic settings, just try to change the speaker settings and see if it works,
