system get hang , while i plug an pen drive ?

i tested the pen drive with other computer and it is working fine

I formatted my computer entirely and installed window xp sp3 .
and installed all the drivers as given in the motherboard cd (Asus).

Still i the same problem exist and i am also not able to here the sound
