What to do as My pc gets stuck on the motherboard splash screen?

My PC is about 4 years old. So, it has an old asus processor with AMD athlon x64 processor . I have 1GB of ram. Now the problem is that when I start my PC, then the motherboard splash screen comes showing ASUS motherboard name but then gets stuck...Nothing happens after this.Tab, f1, f8 or del button not works. It has started wen i was intalling win xp and my pc had restarted after formatting and then copying files...NOW wat to do??..Plzzzz Help me.

it is cmos battery problem. there will be a battery cell in pc. replace that cell. for desktop the cost of cell is 30 rs. just replace.. i think this might help you.

format you whole hard disk ,and then make the partition again,i hope ur able to come out such type of problem.
