I have Excel 2010 and i'm trying to copy a date format by using the Format Painter. ?


ADVERTISEMENTS

I click to the cell that has the format I want copied. I then click on format painter, once like the directions say. But when i go to a range of cells that i want to have the same date format and click and drag, the paint brush disappears and the range of cells stay the same. the only way i can get the cells with the date format that i want is to do the format painter on the cell with the correct format and go to the cell where i want the format and click twice. But I have to do this to each and every cell I want changed.
