Booting problem ?

ADVERTISEMENTS

Hi,

I'm hoping you can help, I have a problem with my PC and its driving me mad. I have a Phillips PC (forgot to jot down the model before i came to work ) And I have a booting issue which I am not sure that it's caused by windows. I use Windows Vista.

When I switch the computer on I am greeted by the white screen with the giant phillips logo as I always have done, but the last few months when Ive switched it on I've had to wait for about 30 mins for this screen to pass.

Once it passes and moves to loading windows it seems fine, doesn't take a great deal of time to get windows booted and once booted seems to work fine. I'm really confused, I have added no new hardware and perform the regular virus scan.

Does this seem like a Windows issue? Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Darren

Its most likely a Windows Issue. Do two things to your PC -

1. Manually run Windows Update to make sure everything is updated. For this go to Control Panel > Windows Update

2. Try to remove some unwanted programs form startup, you can do it manually or a better way is to use a tool like Soluto from official website - http://www.soluto.com/
