Engine Initiation Failure message ?

Today a message appears in top of my tool bars that says Engine Initiation Failure, I dont know how to eliminate it I am running Explorer 7 Windows Vista This is the first time with this problem in 3 yrs. with my laptop. I have not install any new programs in the past month.
