I get no sound from my Onkyo TXSR607 that is connected with HDMI to my laptop ?

I have:
Acer 5820tg with windows 7
AV receiver Onkyo TXSR607
I connected the Acer to the Onkyo that is connected further by HDMI to a Samsung LCD TV. No sound is coming.
Had the same configuration before with an HP laptop and Windows Vista and it worked great.
