anonymous 		I had a problem with loud humming on my PC and a lot of freezing, blue screens, etc. finally my son in law (a techie) came to visit and found tha the FAN in the CPU unit would work sometimes and not work sometimes. He replaced the fan and it's back to normal--slop but normal(no loud sound, no freezes, no blue screens.) This may not apply to your problem but I thought it would help in some way.
