ipad got stuck on itunes logo... ?

hi... my ipad is pretty new...and it got stuck...on the screen i have an itunes logo with a usb cable to b plugged in ..tats wat i have on my screen now...it is not responding...i tried pressing the home key and the sleep button at the same time on dooing this apple logo appeared and again after a few seconds itunes logo appearswith a usb cable......what do i do to fix this up?plz help....

you need to restore your iPad, read this help article by Apple - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414

my laptop does not show the ipad opyion while restoring...it shows iphone...itried doing it with iphone but no change wat do i do now?
