I could not delete my programs in the control panel ?

Whenever I tried to deletes/Uninstall the programs in the computer I uses the following
Start Up> All Programs>Control Panel> Uninstall program
When ever I tried to uninstall the program, the mouse pointer revolves and it could not be deleted even after hours Kindly help me to fix the same
