Insert a disc problem when opening DVD drive ?

I have sony dvd writer and windows 7 OS, it worked normally, but after that i install Nero 9.10 it says "Please insert a disk" all the time.
I use many DVD/CDs but when I try to play them, the disc ejects and says please insert a disc in drive :F .
then i uninstall nero but my problem is still same.
I am not able to play DVD/CDs.
Please help me .

the lens may have gone dirty or bad, get a lens cleaner disk and give it a try.
