Laptop is Dead ?

I have a Dell Latitude that was working ok, know though it will not start up. Only the battery charge light comes on when plugged in with the AC adapter. I have checked AC adapter seems ok, reseated Ram and HDD, discharged fully the laptop etc. Any ideas how to resolve the problem
