can power supply slowdown my computer ?

my computer slows down when it is logging on, some people say it's the startup programs, others say it is the power supply. i want to know if power supply can slow down my pc and how.

anilgahlyan 		no problem in your pc's power supply.

go to start

run

(type ) msconfig

click ok

click on startup and uncheck unwanted programms. Restart your pc and Enjoy.

Rohit 		Starup taks do slow down the PC, that is for sure.

I think if the power supply is going bad, it may drop the voltages and that may cause problems, that may degrade the computer performnace, specially hard disk operations as hard disks and CD / DVD ROMs use a lot of power.
