when i try to type in my password nothing happens, its like this for 10 minutes. i trued to shut it down completly but when i press "shut down" nothing happens. plz help!!!!

I am unable to open or send my emails on my Gmail account, though I can organise the inbox, on my HP tablet. The account works fine on other computers. My yahoo account is working fine on HP tablet. The tablet is virus free. ?
